Brian Robertson

Brian Robertson is Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Board at Amonix, Inc., the best choice for utility-scale solar power in sunny and dry climates. He joined the company in late 2009, bringing Amonix his well-seasoned leadership abilities; deep expertise in solar start-ups and developing earlystage organizations; and significant solar power plant development and solar financing experience.

Mr. Robertson joined Amonix through the acquisition of Sunworks Solar LLC, where he was co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the solar power manufacturing plant development company (2008-2009). Prior to that, he co-founded Sun Edison LLC, North America’s largest solar energy services provider, which was acquired by MEMC (NYSE: WFR) in 2009. At SunEdison Mr. Robertson led growth in senior leadership positions such as President (2007-2008) and Chief Financial Officer (2004-2007).

Mr. Robertson has built several companies from early stage development. In 1996, he co-founded PlanetAll, where he served as Chief Technical Officer until Amazon.com acquired the web-based services start-up in 1998. He continued operating as a group program manager at Amazon.com, where he was instrumental in building out community and personalization technologies, as well as launching the company’s toy business. In 1999, Brian also co-founded Visible Markets, an electronic trading platform for mortgage- and asset-backed securities, where he was Chief Executive Office until the platform was acquired by Thomson Financial in 2001.

Mr. Robertson is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he led students’ efforts to install solar panels on the Shad Hall athletic facility. Currently, Mr. Robertson resides in Orange County, CA with his wife and three young children. He is an avid pilot (instrument and commercial rating licenses).
