Mr. Schort’s experience in financial analysis includes renewable energy projects as well as conventional natural gas and other fossil-fueled power generation projects. At SolarReserve, Mr. Schort analyzes the economics of development projects both domestic and abroad. He is actively involved in project financing through debt and tax equity, land acquisition, and competitive market analysis. Prior to joining SolarReserve in 2008, Mr. Schort gained energy finance experience while working for Union Bank of California in the company’s Power & Utility group. At UBoC, Mr. Schort’s responsibilities included originating, analyzing, structuring, and managing bank debt and derivative s contracts, with over 75 clients at both the project and corporate levels, as part of a deal team.
Mr. Schort earned an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
